Just a short distance from the Acropolis Museum, squeezed in between the busy streets of Syggrou and Kallirois, Fika is a shop you will be very happy to have discovered. A cute micro-bakery, baking croissants and other goodies daily that already have all of Athens talking about them. All products are prepared in the open laboratory just behind the sales area, and it is the perfect spot to get your breakfast or brunch on the go and then continue your walk in the alleys of Koukaki or the busy Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. If you prefer to sit on one of the four chairs facing the storefront, no need to think about it. Just take a seat and enjoy your breakfast on the spot, along with an aromatic specialty coffee.<\/p>\n\r\n\r\n

Croissants are undoubtedly the main protagonist in Fika, since here you can find not just one or two, but nine different sweet and savory croissants for you to try. You will find, among other things, sweet croissants with almond, chocolate and butter, croissants with red fruit and white chocolate, with apple crumble or pistachio, but also with homemade b\u00e9chamel sauce, ham, parmesan and egg.<\/p>\n\r\n\r\n

However, Fika is not just limited to croissants, as it also makes other very interesting pastry products, such as cardamom buns, sandwiches with milk breads in various versions (with pastrami, salmon, or vegetarian with hummus, feta cheese and dukkah), as well as a Basque cheesecake that is so creamy and rich, but at the same time so light that it will blow your mind. We also say \u201cyes\u201d to the delicious banana bread with chocolate chips.<\/p>\n

Extra tip: Products tend to run out well before closing time (which is daily at 4\u00a0pm), so be sure to get there as early as possible. Save yourself the trouble on Sundays, when Fika is closed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
