Today, QProject has a significant presence in both Greece and abroad, taking on some of the most notable projects across all types of real estate. However, the purely construction-focused company, founded by Kiriakos Tsagalidis, began its business activity in the first quarter of 2014 with only two people as its workforce. Successfully navigating the successive challenges brought by the economic crisis, QProject has created a compelling success story, having steadily grown to employ 60 people today, with offices in Athens and Thessaloniki.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company also undertakes office buildings and all kinds of construction that add value to Greece’s building stock. QProject is known for its high level of reliability and consistency, qualities that further enhance its strong reputation in Greece\u2019s construction industry. QProject: Standout projects<\/h2>\n

Among the company\u2019s standout projects, QProject constructed 34 villas for Club M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, certified according to the international BREEAM building sustainability standard. It also collaborated with the Dipnosofistirion Group to build the Delta Restaurant, the only restaurant in Greece with two Michelin stars. <\/span>\u201cThis restaurant was recognized as one of the ten best restaurant constructions in the world in 2023,\u201d<\/span><\/i> says QProject CEO Kiriakos Tsagalidis.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently building a high-aesthetic apartment building in the southern suburbs, based on designs by the 314 Architecture Studio. It’s located in Kavouri and brings a fresh design approach to the broader area, with its form resembling a ship. At the same time, we\u2019re renovating all 120 rooms and suites of the Eagles Palace Hotel in Halkidiki, which belongs to the Tor Hotel Group. Additionally, we have an ongoing partnership with major sportswear brands Nike and Adidas, constructing their stores in recent years,\u201d<\/span><\/i> Mr. Tsagkalidis adds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Boggi Milano\u2019s first standalone store in Greece<\/h2>\n

Recently, QProject built the first standalone store of Italian menswear brand Boggi Milano on Kanari Street in Kolonaki. <\/span>\u201cUntil now, Boggi was only present as shops-in-shop within major department stores. This is the brand\u2019s first dedicated store in Greece. The Kanari Street project was particularly demanding, both in design and construction, and in terms of timing, where pressure was high to deliver the project on schedule,\u201d<\/span><\/i> Mr. Tsagkalidis explains.<\/span><\/p>\n

A new business arm has also been created through the formation of a holding company closely related to QProject, focused on real estate development.<\/span> \u201cCurrently, this company owns a large office building on the National Highway, two villas in Porto Heli, and another two buildings in Gazi. We have also established Dust End, a company specializing in demolition and dismantling services, and a property management company called Archadius. We are also in the process of setting up a company abroad.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The constantly growing market<\/h2>\n

Speaking about the steadily growing construction market, the founder and head of QProject notes the significant momentum the sector has seen over the last three years. <\/span>\u201cConstruction activity is expected to intensify even more in the coming years. Just consider that in 2008, the sector was at its peak, with about 40% more permits issued that year compared to today. So, there is considerable room for further growth. Right now, it feels like Greece is experiencing the most intense construction activity in recent years, especially since the sector had gone quiet for some time due to the financial crisis. From this perspective, we\u2019ve seen a significant improvement in the aesthetic quality of buildings in our country, largely due to the very high standards of architectural firms. These are companies with excellent aesthetics and a modern mindset, who also understand the construction side very well.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

In conclusion, Mr. Tsagkalidis mentions that <\/span>\u201cthe evolution of architectural firms was expected. The new creative wave came from offices located in the southern suburbs of Athens, which offered a completely new and different approach. Their designs influenced other firms across Greece, resulting in high-aesthetic, futuristic, and contemporary constructions.
