In Athens’ restaurant scene, the name Gigi Rigolatto has been generating increasingly lively discussion over the past few weeks. Rumours suggest that the international hospitality concept is preparing to make its debut on the Athens Riviera, with Asteria Glyfada reportedly chosen as its first stop in Greece, specifically the site currently occupied by Bungalow 7.
In search of further details, NouPou contacted the brand’s communications team in Paris. The response from the Pascale Venot agency was diplomatically brief: Clara Schwarz clarified that, for the time being, there is nothing to announce beyond the international projects already in the pipeline. Bungalow 7, for its part, is not confirming any imminent changes at this stage, and the venue continues to operate as usual.

Nevertheless, NouPou’s sources maintain that the prospect of Gigi Rigolatto arriving in Greece remains very much alive, with a possible opening on the seafront pencilled in for spring 2027.
What is Gigi Rigolatto?
More than just a restaurant, Gigi Rigolatto describes itself as an ode to the Italian dolce vita. Drawing inspiration from the cosmopolitan spirit of Milan, it brings together elegance, generosity, sociability and a touch of hedonistic excess.
With the motto “Alla Grande”, the brand combines gastronomy, interior design, music and atmosphere to create an all-encompassing hospitality experience. At its culinary heart is authentic Italian cuisine: from classic arancini and linguine alle vongole to its signature tiramisu, with every dish built around top-quality ingredients and complemented by a carefully curated cocktail menu.

Part of the portfolio of the renowned Paris Society — the French powerhouse that has redefined high-end dining and nightlife — Gigi Rigolatto tailors each new opening to the character of its location, while preserving the brand’s unmistakable luxury DNA.
Which cities is it present in?
According to its official website, Gigi Rigolatto has restaurants in Paris and Rome, while in Saint-Tropez, Dubai, Bodrum and Miami it operates its Beach House concept, centred on seaside hospitality. Abu Dhabi is also included among the brand’s destinations, with its arrival there listed as forthcoming.
Its presence in different destinations is adapted to the surroundings of each location, while retaining the brand’s consistent aesthetic and character.

If Gigi Rigolatto does eventually come to Greece, Glyfada could be its first stop in the country. For now, however, no official announcements have been made, nor has any further information been provided about when or under what arrangement a new venture might begin operating.
