Delta
Delta needs no introduction: it is the only contemporary Greek haute cuisine restaurant in Athens, holding two Michelin stars. It was created by Dipnosofistirion in July 2021, at the initiative and with a donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), with the aim of becoming a model gastronomic destination worthy of the high standards of the SNFCC.

Its imposing hall with its floating garden and golden bar steals the show, while chef George Papazacharias’ naturalistic gastronomy finds here its ultimate expression: the yellow-black bees with transparent wings resting on flowers, foliage or the “soil” are actually a lobster-based dish, while the “Crisp Sunflower” dessert with baked puff pastry cream and chestnut praline is equally impressive.
Dimitris Zannikos’ incredible wine list includes over 1000 labels from Greek and international vineyards, and the well-tuned service has the necessary theatricality to make your evening magical.

Beefbar
For premium meat in the southern suburbs, what springs to mind is this magical spot, within the area of the Four Seasons hotel. The concept combines fine-dining with a comfort feel and here you will find top steaks from all over the world.

Favorite choices include the restaurant’s signature street food dishes, such as the explosive Lobster Tacos and the playful mini Big K Burgers with Kobe beef and crispy bacon, while from the comfort main dishes on the menu you will love the Black Angus striploin, the stir-fried Pepper Beef, but also the Unagi salmon with aromatic Asian aromas — either way, everything flirts with the essence of unpretentious gastronomy. Don’t forget that here, on weekends, you will try one of the best brunches in the city.

Captain’s House Lagonissi
In a unique natural environment and with a wooden deck that seems to literally float above the water, this particular restaurant is a good reason to get in the car and take a short trip to Lagonisi. If you catch the sunset, you will feel twice as happy and full.

The menu is an ode to both the land and the treasures of the sea. The crayfish with burnt corn, dashi broth and passion fruit is a dish with nice intensity, the spaghetti grossi with crab, truffle, miso and smoked egg impresses with its deep umami flavor, while if you want to order something meaty, the wagyu Kagoshima A5 with dumplings, wild mushrooms and dates will make you exuberant. The extensive wine list curated by Christos Saliveros is worthy of the choices on the menu.

Papaioannou Restaurant Vouliagmeni
This is the top destination for those who love top-notch fish, are obsessed with the raw material, just like George Papaioannou himself, and can’t resist romantic sunsets — if you dine at the minimalist, linen-covered tables on the wooden deck, you will immediately understand what we mean.

The fish list, depending on the weather the fishing boats encounter, is sometimes overflowing and sometimes sparse. However, everything offered will always be top quality. Perfectly cut and freshly raw, abundant seafood pasta, masterfully “tied”, large grilled fish, but also the famous steamed grouper are the suggestions you must try.
The wine list, which features “gems” from the Greek and international vineyards, curated by the experienced sommelier Vasiliki Giannarou, will be unforgettable. As will the “pampering” offered.

Pelagos
The exceptionally talented chef Luca Piscazzi has managed to make this cosmopolitan restaurant a Michelin-star-winner since its first year of operation. Apart from the incredibly elegant turquoise-toned hall that impresses the guests or the terrace with the panoramic sea view, the cuisine here is always maintained at a high level and is the main reason to book a table.

From the menu, the signature cold caviar pasta and the surf n’ turf rabbit with lobster will remain in your memory forever. Plus, the experienced wine pairing from an excellent list and the professional attitude of the smiling staff will excite you as well.

Beastalis
The high-end steak house in Glyfada, housed in an elegant detached house dating back to around 1930, belongs to Giannis Bastalis. The latter has perfected the asado, the Argentinian slow-roasting technique with upright grills, with the meat hung on skewers over the fire.

The special dishes that will steal your heart are the beef tartare served with the marrow inside the baked, split bone, the juicy burger, the beef liver and the rib eye that is smoked over the fire for hours and then is finished on the grill.
The restaurant operates from 6:30 PM and beyond the main hall and the garden there is a private room with a monastery table, which can accommodate up to 14 people for private dining, corporate events, tastings and wine pairing.

Abra Ovata
At last, Lake Vouliagmeni hosts a restaurant that is completely in line with its vibes. The charismatic chef John Skotidas is managing the kitchen from the beginning and can now boast that things are going through their best phase.

The fusion menu balances intelligently between the Mediterranean, Asia and Latin America, emphasizes the raw material and is not afraid of cosmopolitanism. It is divided into the Land, Sea and Farm sections and includes suggestions such as smoked eggplant with yogurt and sofrito miso, squid with aioli, tarragon and togarashi, tuna with olive oil, yuzu and jalapeno, and the umami porterhouse with padrón peppers and marrow.
Its doors open early in the morning with a snack menu and inspirational finger foods, while you will enjoy its most “cinematic” scenery at dusk during early dinner. Service, wine and cocktails will satisfy you completely.

The C Beach
It is rightly considered the ideal spot for summer gatherings and stands out thanks to its minimalist aesthetics. Plus, it emerges as a strong player also in terms of taste. And this is thanks to chefs Lazaros Stamoulis and Dorina Demai who, for the third consecutive year, are investing in a menu with a Mediterranean character. Their strong point is raw food and especially fish in sashimi form.

Do not hesitate to order the signature fava with caper chutney and the calamarata with the catch of the day. Its wine list is carefully structured, while if you want a cocktail, both the refreshing Garden Paloma with aromas of green apple and watermelon, and the Filoxenia Highball with vodka, mastic, thyme syrup and fig leaf soda have been made for you. Of course, you will find many choices in breakfast smoothies and juices.
