The Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, which is synonymous with the concept of luxury destination, has been linked to the renaissance of the Athenian Riviera, placing Greece on the map of leading global destinations. A decisive role in shaping its modern communicative image is played by Elia Kentrota, the hotel’s Director of Communications and Public Relations, who has many years of experience in the hospitality industry and deep knowledge of the international market. She belongs to the new generation of women who hold leadership positions in a demanding industry, with professionalism, sensitivity and a clear understanding of what modern hospitality means.
She shares with us all those features that consist ently shape the presence of the emblematic resort on the international scene of luxury hospitality:
The Four Seasons’ biggest competitive advantage is its unique location. It is located half an hour from the center of Athens and the world’s greatest historical monuments, as well as just 20 minutes from the airport, which is connected to most countries by direct flight. The most impressive thing, however, is that while it is located within the city, it gives you the feeling of being on an island.
Our next steps involve the arrival of two new hotels, in Mykonos in 2026 and in Porto Heli in 2027. We will inaugurate the new hotel unit on the island of Mykonos in June 2026. The hotel is located between Ano Mera and Kalo Livadi, in a unique bay with its own beach and marina. It will be quite inclusive for the hotel guests, enabling them to experience the island vibe, but also to isolate themselves and enjoy the impeccable service of the Four Seasons.

Our daily challenge is to highlight the combination of a five-star product with the authenticity of the Greek element and to communicate it in the right way globally. The good thing is that there is extroversion, which the country, the government and local bodies have substantially contributed to.
We are fully aligned with everything related to sustainability, which defines the hospitality industry. Specifically, regarding the environment, the hotel follows a zero-plastic policy, has installed solar panels and applies composting, reinforcing the “zero-waste” philosophy. Regarding our broader social contribution, we support and collaborate with many local organizations, such as SOS Chidren’s Villages, Shedia and the Elpida Association, through integrated actions to strengthen them. All of these sustainability initiatives and the ESG actions of Four Seasons play a decisive role in creating relationships of trust with the modern, demanding traveller.
