Aegina is perhaps the top island destination for a quick getaway from Athens. Just an hour away, this Saronic Gulf island has everything you could want, offering the perfect antidote to the city’s noise and stress.
As your ferry approaches the port, Aegina’s neoclassical buildings unfold before your eyes. But the island is much more than its town. Just a short drive away, you’ll find clean beaches in Marathonas and Aeginitissa, cozy tavernas in Perdika, and the seaside village of Agia Marina.
Agia Marina is just 20 minutes from Aegina’s port. It boasts a sandy beach with crystal-clear waters and plenty of places to eat and grab coffee.
