Athens Riviera restaurants awarded in the FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2025

From iconic city venues to seaside gems, the FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2025 showcased Greece’s best restaurants. The Athens Riviera made a dynamic impression, highlighting its continued rise in the world of fine dining.

With glamour, a large audience, and standout distinctions, the 8th FNL Best Restaurant Awards took place on Monday, May 19 at the Athens Conservatoire, drawing the attention of gastronomy lovers across the country. Since its establishment in 2016, this prestigious institution has become the most reliable benchmark of quality in the Greek dining scene, and this year it honored a total of 263 restaurants from every corner of Greece.
The awards, presented by The Food and Leisure Guide by Panos Deligiannis, are based on strict evaluation criteria, highlighting restaurants that invest in premium ingredients, technical excellence, innovation, and consistency. With energy, professionalism, and an air of emotion, hosts Nancy Zabetoglou and Thanasis Anagnostopoulos led an evening that, beyond celebrating excellence, showcased the evolving identity of modern Greek gastronomy.
This year’s “The List 2025” – the top ten most exciting restaurants of the year in Greece – once again features iconic names such as Pharaoh (Athens), Scorpios (Mykonos), Delta (at the SNFCC), and Papaioannou Restaurant (Vouliagmeni), reaffirming the link between quality and gastronomic experience.

Award-winning restaurants on the Athens Riviera in 2025
Among the many distinctions awarded, the Athens Riviera had a particularly strong showing this year, reinforcing its reputation as one of Greece’s most vibrant culinary destinations. From Glyfada to Vouliagmeni and from Palaio Faliro to Piraeus, these areas proved that quality, creativity, and technical skill have a loud and clear presence here.
Delta Restaurant at the SNFCC retained its three FNL stars (ranking 5th on the must-visit list for this year, up from 4th last year), while Pelagos at the Four Seasons Astir Palace was elevated to the three-star category. In the two-star category, Basegrill in Glyfada made its debut, while Matsuhisa Athens (which also won in the special Best Service category), Papaioannou Restaurant (ranked 7th on this year’s must-visit list), and Patio at The Margi Hotel in Vouliagmeni maintained their status.
In the “European Cuisine” category, ORA by Ettore Botrini at the One & Only Aesthesis in Glyfada received its first star. In the “High-End Beach Restaurants” category, Krabo in Vouliagmeni remained a standout, while for the first time in the “Fusion & Ethnic” category, the Riviera saw a strong showing with abraOvata at Lake Vouliagmeni and Helios at the Four Seasons Astir Palace Athens each earning their first star.
In the meat restaurant category, Beefbar Athens in Vouliagmeni and Drakoulis Dry & Raw in Voula held onto their stars. As for fish restaurants, Ouzeri Aegeon at the Grand Resort Lagonissi was awarded its first star, while Akti and Bluefish in Vouliagmeni, Argoura in Tzitzifies, and Dourabeis in Piraeus retained their distinctions.
