The post linked to an earlier article by Rachel Howard, which had already stood out for its perspective: not just another guide featuring Michelin stars and fancy fine dining options, but a snapshot of what it really means to eat authentically in Athens today.
“Athenians love to eat out, so the best restaurants in Athens are always buzzing. From a quick souvlaki on the sidewalk to long evenings of meze and tsipouro, life in the city revolves around the simple pleasures of food and togetherness. The best restaurants in Athens range from open-air stalls and neighborhood tavernas to modern Greek bistros. Tables and chairs spill into squares and squeeze onto tree-lined sidewalks,” Howard wrote, among other things.
